Newcomer

It has been over a few decades since they left, but we still feel their presence, that they have been here. They came out of the blue and left as nothing has happened. We thought everything is lost, however, we are still here, fighting... 

 "I need a full report on our current climate changes and the current events" - asked the commander, from the 1st floor center of the 5 story tall, halfway collapsing building. 5 stories of which everyone knew that on the 5th level there is still one of them left, but no one spoke about it, because they knew, no matter what happens it is for the good of all. 

Kendra, with her grey eyes and dark skin colour was one of the crew members. She with Kuliu, the all rounder humanoid AI with her athletic and flexible body could easily swift from one place to the other, looking after all the machines and pressing the buttons waiting for the full report on the whole analysis to be ready for handover. Whilst waiting she asked "When can I go to lunch?" . "When you have the report done, Kuliu will help you to finalize it". Suddenly an other voice appeared out of nowhere, assuring her there are 10 minutes left till the data finalizing and then she can go as well to eat with the whole crew and have that well deserved break they are all craving for. 

In the meantime the commander stepped through the 3 floor the command room's glass doors, and was wondering how and by when they will be ready with the full report. He still had the recent events circling in his head like fast particles when THAT started to flee on the 5th floor. It pressed all his powers as he tried to escape with all his might, his muscles tensed under the armour churn on his body. He resembled more like a scorpion with pointed teeth, an ugly muzzle and kneaded upper body. He awoke from the artificial coma and ran against the staff. He wounded two people and when the alarm sound turned on he frantically crushed everything that got in his way. Fortunately, he was unable to get through the secured doors and glass to the main personnel department, so security guards soon put the specimen under control. 

 "Neje, tell me, when will we get an answer to what the hell we're really looking for and how can we overcome the current situation?" Pete asked, rushing after him and waiting for an answer from the leader, as if he needed to know right now and as if he was responsible for all the current state on the planet. It’s still good that Kuliu and RT survived the great peril to help humanity, which was still believed to survive, continue to develop and rebalance life on Earth while preparing the human race for future battles. Arriving to the elevator, Neje couldn't decide whether to go to the second, first, or ground floor. Finally, he pressed "G" and waited for the elevator to start. Arriving on the ground floor, he greeted Nancy, who always seemed elegant, wearing only the obligatory black, knee-length uniform with gilded buttons, nothing fancy, and yet she looked stunning as always.

Nancy welcomed and announced that RT had left early today, arguing that he had a lot of important things to do and should take care of it. Mentioning also that he "looked rather upset and nervous." Neje didn't know where to put things and was a little surprised that RT had left the main building without his knowledge. But he trusted him, and with the same moment with which his doubts arose, he waved the ominous shadows and focused on the newcomer. "Hello Jea. Welcome! I am glad you could travel to us and decided to work on base P346. We are technologically very advanced, but we still have many things to catch up with compared to the other base centers. Please follow me and I will show you around on all the floors and departments where you will have free access to." 

Jea shook hands with and followed him, whilst Neje continued his speech:" You will have moments, just like we all do every now and then, when you will feel like you want to run out of the world, but don't worry, Kuliu will help you get over the hard times. Right. Kuliu?!" he smiled, whilst a voice in the background appeared and greeted the newcomer.

Jea was confused and she was also surprised by the voice and when she asked what that was, Neje said "It is the control soul of the entire building, our eyes and sometimes our brain. He is an artificial intelligence, well aware of his current state and together with RT they were created to serve humanity and help in their healing process." "Who created them?", asked Jea. "We don't know. Kuliu is certain that he was created by a human and another being that also vanished the same way as the destroyers, before the time to believed to be the end. But as he couldn't prove his existence either and the file that was meant to contain this data is locked from all of us we can't tell for sure. There is only one man who has access to it, but no one knows where he is or whether he is alive at all." 

The lift reached the 1st floor. When they entered many relaxed, hungry and cheerful eyes were welcoming them. Kendra was waiving from one of the tables with food in her hands and stood up to walk to them. "Hi boss and hello stranger!", greeted both of them. " We have the full report, something is going on. We examined everything with Kuliu and analysed the area. There were some strange seismic movements in the past few days and specially in 5 km radius of the building."
